Yah Hullo?

so, um, yea, um, here’s my new blog. not entirely sure what i will post here in the future, but what i do know is that i will post new music and artwork that i’ve done and possibly some other random shtüff. i’ve never had a blog before, so this is kinda new to me.

the music: i am a highly eclectic and prolific electronic musician. i have released a plethora of albums on various netlabels and have been a part of various compilations. i’ve made many different styles of music in the past, including non-electronic styles, and i’ve been playing/writing music for over a decade. i currently compose/produce/perform electronic music that has a chiptune flavour but has not abandoned my experimental psychedelic roots. my performances and albums over the last couple years have included music performed on a nintendo gameboy and music created using renoise. i have done a bit of stuff in milkytracker and a bit on the commodore 64. i’m hoping to find the time to do more c64 music in the future. i still compose most of my music on a guitar, although i rarely play guitar on my albums or live anymore. the official starpilot website is here: http://starpilot.echoz.com/

the artwork: i like to make wacky digital artwork using adobe photoshop and illustrator as well as trippy music videos using adobe after effects. music is my main passion, but i do enjoy the visual stuff as well. i am currently a graphic design student at george brown college in toronto, which has so far been very mixed in terms of personal enjoyment and apparent usefulness.

space cadet: yea, i’m also kinda strange. an oddball if you will. i have an eccentric personality, a creative sense of imagination, a fucked-up sense of humour, and a wacky take on life and the universe in general. you can blame this on mental illness or you can blame this on a plethora of other things. either way, while many don’t get it and even hate me because of it, many others feel the complete opposite. like everything else in life, it’s a mixed blessing.
